Canadian Coast Guard Cutter  "Samuel Risley" beaking ice for the "Arthur M. Anderson" on Lake Erie

north of Ashtabula OH

The Great Lakes Fleet "Arthur M. Anderson" never made it to Conneaut OH.  It has been directed

to head for Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin for the Winter Lay-up, with a stop at Detroit MI to refuel.

These pictures were posted my boatnerd.com on their Facebook page.  My thanks to them, and

to the Candadian Coast Guard for the pictures.

At last check, the ships were in Lake Erie north of Lake Geneva, OH heading North west at abour

6 knots.  The Canadian Coast Guard Cutter Griffon assisted in breaking the ice near Conneat then

headed west. It has been 32 days since the Anderson left Conneaut OH with a load to Gary.
